I appreciate that they fixed my Samsung A25 screen today. I made a big mistake wasting $100 on one of those low-rate phone repair kiosks around the wheaton mall only for them only for them to make my screen worse but 2nd time's the charm. I definietly recommend The Fix for phone repair. They're very professional and I remember them even repairing my Iphone 10 screen a year ago with no issue.

The Fix is a dedicated repair store inside Westfield Wheaton, conveniently located at 11160 Veirs Mill Rd in Wheaton, MD 20902. We repair iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones, along with iPads, tablets, MacBooks, Windows laptops and game consoles. Many phone and tablet repairs are same-day, often taking less than 30 minutes, which makes a cracked screen or a failing battery easy to fit into a trip to the mall.
Bring the device in and a technician examines it, finds the fault and walks you through the repair. Phone problems, tablet problems, laptop problems and console problems all go to the same team, in the same store.
You choose The Fix because any device in your household can be handled in one store, from the phone in your pocket to the laptop in your bag. A family can arrive with an iPhone 17, an iPad and a MacBook Air and deal with all three in a single visit.
The store is built around repair work. Technicians work with the tools, the replacement parts and the model knowledge that each device family needs, newer phones such as the iPhone 17 and the Galaxy S25 are repaired alongside older models that people keep for years.
A technician looks at the whole device, not only the part you came in about. A phone brought in for a cracked screen may also have a worn charging port or a weak battery, and checking all of it means you see the full picture in one visit.
The Fix repairs the faults that stop a phone from doing its job: broken screens, weak batteries, damaged charging ports, cracked glass and water damage. Each one has its own signs, and knowing them helps you decide when to come in.
Screen repair covers a cracked screen or shattered glass on an iPhone 17 and on older generations. A hairline crack may leave the touch layer working. Shattered glass that reaches the digitizer under it often causes unresponsive touch, where part of the screen ignores your finger, or ghost touch, where the screen registers taps you never made. Both problems point to the same layer under the glass, and a screen replacement addresses them together.
Battery repair is the fix for a battery draining fast. An iPhone 15 that falls from a full charge to empty in a few hours, or a phone with a sudden shutdown while the gauge still shows power, usually has a worn battery. A swollen battery needs attention sooner. Swelling pushes against the screen and can crack the glass from beneath, so stop charging a phone that shows the sign and bring it in.
Charging port repair helps when a cable no longer seats or the phone charges only at certain angles. Lint and debris in the port are a common cause, and clearing them solves the problem when the pins are intact. A Galaxy A16 that still will not charge after cleaning may need the port itself replaced.
The other parts of a phone wear out too. Back glass on a Galaxy S25 cracks on a hard drop even when the screen survives. A cracked camera lens on a Pixel 10 blurs photos even though the sensor behind it works. A muffled speaker on a Pixel 8 is often blocked by pocket lint or has failed outright. An iPhone 13 that will not power on may have a drained battery, a failed port or a deeper fault, and the diagnosis separates those cases.
Water damage is the one repair where speed matters at home. Switch the phone off, keep it unplugged and bring it in. Corrosion starts spreading inside the phone within hours, and the diagnosis shows how far the moisture traveled before any repair is planned.
The Fix repairs tablets, computers and game consoles in the same store as phones, so one visit can cover the phone, the tablet and the laptop.
On the tablet side, the team works on iPad Air and iPad (10th generation) models, along with Android tablets. Cracked screens, short battery life, charging ports that stopped connecting and touch that no longer responds are the usual reasons to come in.
For computers, the store handles MacBook and Windows laptops. Repairs include laptop screen and keyboard replacement, along with virus and malware removal, speed tune-ups and RAM and SSD upgrades. A slow laptop is often a software or storage issue rather than a hardware failure, and the diagnosis tells you which one you have.
Game console repair covers PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. The team works on HDMI ports, disc drives, controller drift and connectivity faults. Timing for tablet, computer and console work depends on the fault, so the technician gives you a clear plan once the diagnosis is done.
The Fix replaces worn or broken components with high-quality replacement parts sourced for the specific model in your hands. Screens, batteries, charging ports, back glass and camera lenses all come in versions that differ by model, and the right version matters. An OLED screen on a recent iPhone is a different part from an LCD screen on an older one, and a battery from one generation will not fit the next.
Accessories sit in the same store. Cases, screen protectors, chargers and headphones are available for the phones and tablets we repair. A screen protector is worth adding after a screen repair, and a case that fits the device properly cuts down the chance of a second crack.
A repair at The Fix follows four stages.
The Fix is inside Westfield Wheaton at 11160 Veirs Mill Rd, Wheaton, MD 20902, in the Wheaton-Glenmont area of Montgomery County. The mall has entrances on Veirs Mill Road and Kensington-Wheaton Road.
Costco, Target, Macy's, JCPenney and Dick's Sporting Goods anchor the mall, which gives you easy reference points when you arrive. Wheaton Station on the Metro Red Line is about a third of a mile from the store, which keeps the store easy to reach by train.
Wheaton's weather stresses phones in two different ways: heat and humidity in summer, and cold in winter.
Summer heat and humidity speed up battery wear. A phone left in a hot car can overheat, and heat is one of the main reasons a battery swells. Humid air and sudden storms also let moisture creep into charging ports, where it leaves corrosion that looks like a port that has stopped working.
Winter cold works differently. A cold battery delivers less voltage, so an older phone that shows half a charge indoors can shut down suddenly once you step outside. Moving between heated buildings and cold air can also leave condensation inside a phone. If your phone behaves normally in a warm room and fails in the cold, the battery is the first thing to check.
Expect a simple visit: you hand over the device, a technician looks at it, and you leave knowing the fault and the repair plan. Common repairs do not need a booking, so you can walk up to the store when you arrive at the mall.
A few details make the visit smoother. Tell the technician when the problem started and whether the device was dropped or got wet, because that history points to the cause faster. Take the case off a phone before you hand it over. If the fault involves charging, bring the charger and cable you normally use, since a worn cable can mimic a port problem.
The team talks through the repair in everyday language and answers questions as they come up, and the store is kept tidy and organized.
These are answers to common questions about repairs at the store.
A cracked iPhone 16 screen is one of the quicker jobs at the store, and many phone and tablet repairs are same-day, often taking less than 30 minutes. The time depends on whether only the glass is damaged or the touch layer and frame need work too.
An iPad (10th generation) battery repair takes as long as the fault requires, because the battery sits under the screen and the glass has to come off before the battery can be reached. The technician explains the timing once the diagnosis is complete.
Timing for a MacBook Air keyboard repair depends on the fault, since a few stuck keys and a failed keyboard assembly are different jobs. The technician identifies which one you have during the diagnosis and then explains the timing for that repair.
How long a PlayStation 5 disc drive repair takes depends on the fault. A drive that will not read discs, one that will not eject and one that makes noise each need different work, so the diagnosis comes first and sets the plan.
The time a water damage repair takes depends on which components the moisture reached and how much corrosion followed on the board, the connectors and the charging port. A phone that has dried out can still need work in those places, so the plan comes after the diagnosis.
A Pixel 8 battery replacement takes as long as the condition of the battery allows. A worn battery is a straightforward swap, while a swollen one needs more careful removal, so the time reflects what the diagnosis finds.
The cost of a Galaxy S24 screen repair is driven by the OLED panel itself, whether the frame is bent and whether the damage reaches the touch layer. Once the technician has examined the phone, you know which of those applies.
Battery repair on an iPhone 14 costs what the part and the labor require, and that depends on the battery part for that model and on the condition of the phone around it. The quote reflects what the technician finds when examining the device.
Price for an iPad Air screen repair follows the generation, the screen size and whether only the glass or the whole panel has failed. The quote reflects those details for your exact tablet.
What you pay for a Galaxy A15 charging port repair depends on whether the port only needs cleaning or needs replacing, and on whether it sits on a small separate board or on the main board. The technician checks the layout inside your phone and tells you which route applies.
Cost for iPhone 13 back glass repair depends on how much of the glass is cracked and whether the frame or the camera ring is also damaged. The glass is bonded to the frame, so the amount of work to remove it shapes the quote.
A Windows laptop screen repair costs more or less depending on the panel size, the resolution, whether it is a touchscreen and the exact model. The technician identifies the panel your laptop uses and gives you the quote.
