I got my iphone 14 pros back glass and camera replaced. Good job!
Cordelia Hageman
What a great experience! Unfortunately, I fell victim to dropping my phone and shattering the back glass, and also damaging the front glass… but I am very glad that I came to the mobile fix to get my phone taken care of! The kind gentleman that fixed my phone explained all that had happened, and I left very satisfied. Unfortunately, I damaged my phone so much, I also managed to break the flash, which we did not realize until the back and front glass were back on my phone. I’m really satisfied with the service, so I’m going back next week to get my flash fixed!!

My mother’s phone got bad and I went to a repair shop near me and the person said I needed to change the whole screen and his price was a little expensive. I came to the mobile fix, before I came I called him and told him I wanted to change the phone screen and he told me his price but ask me to bring the phone let him take a look first.I came with the phone and he fix the phone without changing the screen. He told me it wasn’t the screen in spite of the fact that the other repairer told me it was the screen. I admired his truth in doing business and will recommend him to any one having phone issue.

This store is at 7404 Baltimore Ave #200, College Park, MD 20740, on the Route 1 corridor running through Old Town College Park. It is a dedicated repair store, and it is the closest one to the University of Maryland campus — 0.46 miles away, which is a walk rather than a drive.
We work on phones, tablets, computers and game consoles. Cracked screens. Batteries that give up by early afternoon. Charging ports that only take a cable at one particular angle. Broken back glass, cameras that focus on nothing, speakers you can barely hear.
If you do not know what is wrong with your device, that is normal. Finding out is the first part of the job here, not something extra bolted on afterwards.
Phone: (301) 532-9362. Open Monday to Saturday, 10:00am to 7:00pm. Closed Sunday.
Because nothing gets replaced here until we know it is the thing that is broken.
That sounds obvious. It is not how it always goes. A phone comes in with a black screen and the fast answer is a screen replacement — the biggest part, the biggest job. Sometimes that is correct. Often it is not. A loose connector, a damaged flex, a battery that cannot hold enough charge to boot properly: all of these look exactly like a dead screen from the outside.
People come to this store having been quoted a full screen replacement elsewhere and leave with something smaller, because the screen was never the fault. That happens often enough that we built the way we work around it. Bring it in. We find out what is actually wrong first. Then we tell you, and then you decide.
The second reason is simple geography. At 0.46 miles from campus and 0.44 miles from McKeldin Mall, this is the nearest repair store to UMD. You can drop a device off between classes and pick it up on your way back.
Most of what walks through the door falls into a handful of categories.
Screens. Cracked glass, dead spots, touch that ignores half your taps, lines across the picture, black after a drop. We check what is behind the glass before we quote a screen, for the reason above.
Batteries. If your phone was fine last year and now dies at 40%, that is usually age, not abuse. Lithium cells wear out. A replacement takes the phone back to a full day.
Charging ports. Loose cables, slow charging, only charging when you hold the cable a certain way. Sometimes this is a worn port. Sometimes it is pocket lint packed into the bottom of it, and that is a five-minute fix rather than a part.
Back glass. The other side of a drop, and easy to keep ignoring until the cracks start catching your fingers.
Cameras and flash. Blurry photos, a lens that will not focus, a flash that stopped firing after an impact.
Speakers, earpieces and mics. People who cannot hear you, calls you cannot hear, or sound that only works on speakerphone.
One drop frequently breaks more than one thing at once — front glass, back glass and the camera flash together, for example. We handle those in the same visit rather than sending you back three times.
Phones are the bulk of the work, but they are not all of it.
Cracked screens, batteries that no longer last a lecture, charging ports that have loosened up from years of the same cable. Tablets get treated like books — carried everywhere, dropped on hard floors — and the failures look a lot like phone failures at a larger size.
Laptop screens, batteries, keyboards, charging problems, machines that have slowed to the point of being unusable. MacBook work moves quickly here, and turnaround on straightforward jobs is usually short. If you have a paper due, say so when you come in, and we will tell you honestly whether the timing works.
Consoles that will not power on, will not read a disc, overheat, or shut themselves down mid-game. Same approach as everything else: find the fault, explain it, then fix it.
High-quality parts, matched to the device and the repair.
Worth saying plainly: part quality matters less often than people assume, because the best repair is frequently the one where no part is needed at all. Cleaning a port, reseating a connector or correcting a fitting problem costs you less and puts less strain on the device than swapping an assembly that was working fine.
When a part really is needed, we use one that will hold up. A screen should feel like the screen you had, not a thin substitute that flexes when you press it. A battery should get you through a full day. If a part we have fitted is not sitting or behaving the way it should, bring the device back to us and we will put it right.
Four stages, and none of them are a surprise.
You tell us what it does. Not what you think is broken — what you have noticed. When it started. Whether it was dropped, got wet, or just slowly got worse. This narrows things down faster than any test we run.
We test it. This is the part that changes the answer. We check the components that produce the symptom you described, so the diagnosis is based on the device rather than on a guess.
We tell you what we found, and what it costs, before we touch anything. Including anything we spot that you did not come in about. If we find damage inside that you did not know was there, you hear about it while you can still decide what to do.
We do the work and check it. Then we hand it back and tell you what was replaced and what was not.
If any stage does not make sense, ask. Explaining the repair is part of the repair.
7404 Baltimore Ave #200 sits on the Baltimore Avenue (US-1) corridor through Old Town College Park.
From the University of Maryland campus: 0.46 miles southeast. From McKeldin Mall, the centre of campus, it is 0.44 miles — head southeast off the Mall and out to Baltimore Avenue. It is a short walk, which matters if your phone is dead and your maps are on it.
From the College Park–U of Md Metro Station: 0.54 miles northwest. That is the Green Line, with the Purple Line planned. If you are coming in from DC or from elsewhere along the line, you do not need a car for this trip.
From College Park Medical Center and the urgent care there: 0.69 miles south.
From MedStar Health Urgent Care in Hyattsville: 1.21 miles northeast.
Note the suite number — #200. If you are driving up Route 1, you are in the stretch with the student housing along it, so give yourself a minute for parking at busy times of the semester.
A conversation before a quote.
The pattern we hear most is people arriving with a number they were given somewhere else and a device they were told needed a full screen. They ask for a second look. Quite often the answer changes, and the repair turns out to be smaller than the one they were bracing for. So ask what is wrong with it before you agree to pay for a part — here or anywhere.
You should also expect to be told what happened to your device. That includes things we find along the way that were not part of what you came in about. Nobody enjoys hearing there is a second problem, but you are better off knowing about it now than discovering it in three weeks.
On timing: everyday jobs move quickly. Common phone repairs are often same-visit, and MacBook work is usually faster than people expect. If a repair needs longer, you will hear that up front rather than at closing time.
And if something is not right after a repair — a screen that is not seated properly, a fitting that has shifted — that is ours to fix. Come back. A repair is not finished because we handed the device over; it is finished when it is working the way it should.
Most are. Repairable phones are far more common than people expect, including ones that will not power on at all — a dead phone is often a power fault rather than a dead phone. The honest exceptions are devices that have been bent badly, sat in water for a long time, or taken damage across several boards at once. We will tell you if yours is in that group instead of taking it in and charging you to find out.
It depends on what is actually broken, which is exactly why we diagnose first. A battery or a charging port on a phone you otherwise like is almost always worth doing. If the repair is closing in on what the phone is worth to you, we will say so. We would rather you spent nothing here than spent something on a device that will not last the year.
Not necessarily, and it is worth a second opinion. Sometimes a device was assessed quickly, or the fault was outside what that store handles. We fix phones that have already been written off somewhere else more often than you would think. Bring it in and let us look before you write it off yourself.
If what you mean by a phone doctor is someone who examines the device before deciding what to do with it, then yes, that is how this store works. The cell phone doctor idea is a fair description of the approach: symptoms first, diagnosis second, treatment last. What we will not do is skip to the treatment because it is quicker.
Monday to Saturday, 10:00am to 7:00pm. We are closed on Sunday. If you are working to a deadline, plan for Saturday rather than the weekend generally.
Walk in. You do not need to book. Quieter times are earlier in the day and mid-week; the busiest stretches tend to be around term start, exams and move-out, when everyone in College Park remembers their phone is broken at the same time.
Common phone repairs are frequently done in the same visit. Some computer and console work takes longer, and anything that needs a part we do not have on hand will depend on that part arriving. You get a realistic timeframe after the diagnosis, not an optimistic one before it.
Yes. We diagnose first, then tell you what is wrong and what it will cost to fix, and nothing goes ahead until you say so. If we find something extra once we are inside, we stop and tell you rather than adding it to the total.
Most repairs do not touch your data at all — a screen, a battery or a port swap leaves your storage alone. We will always tell you in advance if a particular repair carries any risk to what is on the device. Backing up before you bring anything in is good practice regardless of who is doing the work.
No. Front glass, back glass and a damaged camera flash from a single fall get assessed and handled together. It is one device and one set of damage, so we treat it as one job rather than dragging you back in three times.
Bring it back to us. A screen that is not sitting flush, a part that has shifted, touch that is not responding the way it did — that is a fitting problem and it is ours to correct. We would much rather you returned and told us than lived with a repair that is not right.
Yes. The store is 0.44 miles from McKeldin Mall and 0.46 miles from campus, so it is a walk of a few minutes each way down to Baltimore Avenue. Drop the device off, go to your next class, come back for it. If you are coming from further out, the College Park–U of Md Metro Station is 0.54 miles away on the Green Line.
