The Fix is a dedicated repair store inside Towson Town Center, conveniently located at 825 Dulaney Valley Rd, Suite 3370, Towson, MD 21204. Bring your phone in while you are shopping and collect it when your errands are done. Many phone and tablet repairs are same-day, often taking less than 30 minutes. We repair iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones, iPads and other tablets, laptops and MacBooks, and game consoles.
We keep up with the phones people actually carry. That means the iPhone 17 line and the Galaxy S25 series, but also the models that are a few years old and still in daily use. Newer phones change how screens are glued, where cables run and how batteries are fitted. Knowing those details keeps the repair efficient.
Parts matter just as much. We use high-quality parts for screens, batteries, ports and cameras, picked for each model so the fit and touch response feel right once the phone is closed up again.
We handle screen, battery, charging, camera, speaker and power repairs on iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones. Screens come first for a reason. A cracked screen on an iPhone 17 or a Galaxy S25 can still look usable, but small cracks spread with every pocket and every drop. Shattered glass is a bigger concern because loose shards can cut fingers and let dust reach the panel underneath.
Touch faults are their own category. A Galaxy A55 with unresponsive touch in a strip of the screen, or one with ghost touch that opens apps on its own, usually has a damaged digitizer. Sometimes the cause is a cable that shifted after a drop. We find out which before suggesting a part.
Battery problems show up slowly. Battery draining fast by midafternoon is the early sign on an iPhone 13 that has seen a few years of charging. A swollen battery is the late sign: the screen starts to bulge, the back lifts and the phone no longer sits flat on a table. Stop charging it and bring it in, because a swollen cell should not stay in a phone.
Charging port repair often starts with a simple look. Lint, sand and pocket dust pack into the port over months, and debris in the port on a Pixel 9 can stop the cable from seating fully. If the pins are bent or corroded, the port itself needs replacing.
Glass and cameras on the back get attention too. Cracked back glass on an iPhone 15 is more than cosmetic; it lets moisture in and can catch on fabric. A cracked camera lens on an iPhone 16 blurs every photo and can leave a haze over video. We also fix a muffled speaker, which is often a blocked grille or a worn speaker module, and a phone that will not power on, where the cause can be the battery, the power button or the charging circuit.
Tablets, laptops and game consoles get the same bench time as phones. On tablets, we repair cracked glass on the iPad Air and iPad mini, replace worn batteries and fix charging ports that no longer hold a cable. Samsung Galaxy Tab models and other Android tablets are welcome as well.
Laptop repair covers MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models along with Windows laptops. We replace cracked screens, sticky or broken keyboards and batteries that no longer last through a class or a meeting. A slow laptop can also benefit from a memory or SSD upgrade, a performance tune-up or virus removal.
Game consoles round out the list. A PlayStation 5 that runs hot and loud may need its fan and cooling path cleaned. An Xbox Series X that will not read discs may need its disc drive repaired. On a Nintendo Switch, we replace cracked screens and repair the USB-C port that charges the console in and out of its dock.
We carry high-quality repair parts for current and older models, plus the accessories that protect a device after it leaves the bench. For many screen repairs you can choose between more than one part option. The choice affects brightness, color and cost, and we explain the difference so you can decide what suits the phone and how long you plan to keep it. Replacement batteries use new cells.
On the accessory side, we stock phone cases in protective and slim styles, tempered glass screen protectors, charging cables and wall chargers. A fresh screen protector on a newly repaired screen is the simplest way to keep the next drop from becoming the next repair. If your cable frays at the end, replace it before it damages the port it plugs into.
A repair at our Towson store follows four stages.
If the diagnosis turns up a second fault, such as a weak battery found during a screen repair, we mention it in Stage 2 as a separate option.
You will find us at 825 Dulaney Valley Rd, Suite 3370, Towson, MD 21204, inside Towson Town Center. Our suite sits on the Nordstrom side of the mall, so entering through Nordstrom puts you a short walk from our door.
From the Baltimore Beltway, take I-695 Exit 27A and follow Dulaney Valley Road south toward the mall. Goucher College sits about half a mile northeast along the same road. Towson University is just over a mile to the southwest, close enough for a quick trip between classes.
Towson sees cold winters and humid summers, and both put stress on phones. In winter, a lithium battery loses voltage in the cold. A phone that reads 30 percent indoors can drop to zero outside on a January walk across campus, and a sudden shutdown in the cold is often the first clue that the battery is worn. Warming the phone brings some charge back, but a battery that keeps doing this is ready for replacement.
Summer brings the opposite problem. Humid air and afternoon thunderstorms are hard on devices, especially phones with older seals. Water damage does not always show right away. Corrosion can build on the board over days, so a phone that seems fine after a storm can start acting up later. If your phone got soaked, power it off and bring it in rather than charging it to see if it works.
Heat is the other summer issue. A phone left on a car seat on a hot afternoon can throttle, dim the screen or shut itself off to protect the battery. Repeated heat speeds up battery wear, so summer often sets up the winter shutdowns.
Expect a friendly welcome and a technician who takes the time the repair needs. We do not rush the work to clear the bench, and we are happy to talk through each step as we go.
Expect help with more than one device. Households often bring an iPhone and a laptop at the same time, and both can be checked in one visit.
A cracked iPhone screen repair is priced by the iPhone generation and the screen technology it uses. OLED panels on Pro models cost more to replace than LCD panels on older models. Frame damage around the screen and a broken front camera or Face ID sensor add to the work as well.
Galaxy battery repair pricing comes down mainly to the model and how its back is sealed. Galaxy S models use strong adhesive under glued glass backs, which takes more labor than a Galaxy A model with an easier back. Models with water-resistant seals also need a new seal fitted when the back goes on.
MacBook screen repair costs vary with the model year and size, since a 13-inch MacBook Air and a 16-inch MacBook Pro use very different panels. Some models need the whole display assembly replaced, while others allow a smaller part. Liquid damage near the hinge can also widen the repair.
A Pixel charging port repair is priced by how the port is built into the phone. Some Pixel models have the port on a separate board that swaps out cleanly. Others have it attached to a larger part, which raises the cost.
Switch repair costs depend on which part failed and which Switch model you own. Joystick drift on a Joy-Con is a smaller job than a fault inside the console. The Switch OLED, the Switch Lite and the first Switch also use different internal parts, so the model sets the price.
Repairing an iPhone camera lens is usually quick when only the outer glass is cracked. Many phone repairs are same-day, often taking less than 30 minutes. If the camera module underneath is damaged too, the repair takes longer because the module has to be replaced and tested.
How long an iPad screen takes comes down to the model and how the glass is attached. Older iPads have glass separate from the display, while the iPad Air and iPad mini fuse the two together. Fused screens need careful heating and fresh adhesive, which adds time to the job.
Laptop power repairs take as long as finding the fault takes. A dead battery or a damaged charging port is one kind of job. A failed component on the logic board is another. We give you a time once the diagnosis shows which one it is.
A PS5 HDMI port repair depends on whether the port alone failed or the traces around it were damaged too. A bent port is the simpler case. Damage that reaches the surrounding board needs extra work before the new port can go in.
Water damage repair time depends on how far the liquid traveled inside the phone. Light exposure may only need cleaning and drying of the affected area. Deeper corrosion can mean replacing a port, a speaker or the battery, and each extra part adds time.
You can walk in without an appointment. If the problem is with charging, bring the cable and charger you normally use so we can test them alongside the phone.
Backing up before a repair is a smart habit, even for a simple screen or battery swap. An iCloud or Google backup takes a few minutes on Wi-Fi and keeps a copy of your photos and messages, which is good practice with any device. If the phone cannot be backed up because it will not turn on, bring it in as it is.
