I had an opportunity to interact with all 3 and let me tell you, they all seem very happy and eager to help with any issues you may be having. In my case, a family member’s phone (touch screen) was not working. I was already prepared to replace the phone, but they were able to resolve the issue and phone was back functioning within 25 mins. I bought a couple of protective screens for my cousin’s and my phones just because. I highly recommend this business for any phone issues you have. I have a Pixel 7A that had a badly swollen battery. It was actually pushing the back cover of the phone off and had separated one of the seams. Zack was the tech that helped me out, he ordered a new battery and was able to replace the damaged one the next day in about 30 minutes. This was the smoothest time I've ever had getting help with damaged tech. What are your hours on Military Dr W?
Monday through Saturday 10am to 9pm, and Sunday 11am to 6pm. These are our own hours rather than the Supercenter's, which opens earlier. Sunday is the shortest day, so plan around it if you are bringing in something that needs a longer look.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Walk-ins are how most repairs start at the Military Drive West location, and no booking is needed for a cracked screen, battery service or a charging port that has stopped holding a cable. For a less common model, calling ahead at (210) 518-5569 lets us check part availability first.
How fast is a screen replacement?
Often under half an hour for a common model with the part in stock, and same-day in most other cases. Ask at drop-off and you will get a specific time rather than a general one, because it depends on the model and what else the drop damaged.
I was told my phone cannot be repaired. Is it worth a second look?
Frequently, yes. A device written off in one place is not always beyond repair, and the diagnostic here costs nothing, so the only thing you risk is the trip. You will get a straight answer either way rather than a sales pitch.
My screen is lifting at one edge. What is that?
Almost always a swollen battery pushing the display away from the frame. It is not cosmetic. Take the phone off the charger and bring it in; the replacement is straightforward and the device is usually fine afterwards. If the back glass is also cracked, mention it, because the two problems are often connected.
Does Texas heat really affect my phone?
More than almost anything else you do to it. Heat is what ages a lithium battery fastest, and a phone left on a car seat through a San Antonio summer afternoon goes well beyond what the battery is designed for. If a two or three year old phone has stopped holding a day, that history is usually the reason.
My phone will not charge. Is the port broken?
Not always. Pocket lint compacts in the bottom of a charging port over months and stops the cable seating fully, and that is a cleaning job rather than a repair. If the cable only works when held at an angle, the port itself is more likely.
Do you work on Motorola and other less common brands?
Yes. Motorola, Google Pixel, LG and older Android models are all handled here, and parts for them can usually be sourced even when they are not on the shelf. Call ahead for an unusual model and we will check before you drive over.
Can a cracked back glass be replaced?
Yes, and it is worth doing sooner rather than later. Back glass is treated as permanent damage more often than any other fault described that way, but a cracked back also leaves the battery exposed, which is how a cosmetic problem turns into a swollen battery.
Do you sell cases and screen protectors, and will you fit them?
Yes, and fitting is done here while you wait rather than left to you. It is worth doing at the same time as a repair, because a new screen goes back into the same pocket and the same bag that broke the last one.
Will you tell me the cost before starting?
Yes. Every device gets a free diagnostic and a full quote before any work begins. Nothing is opened or replaced without your approval, and if a repair does not make financial sense for your device you will hear that instead.
Will I lose my data during a screen or battery repair?
Screen and battery work does not touch your storage, so photos, messages and apps stay where they are. Backing up first is still the sensible habit, because a device that arrives with an existing fault can behave unpredictably once it is opened.
