They explained everything clearly and didn’t try to upsell unnecessary repairs, which I really appreciated. Small phone repair business inside of Wal-Mart. These gentleman were very friendly and customer service oriented individuals. I had an opportunity to interact with all 3 and let me tell you, they all seem very happy and eager to help with any issues you may be having. In my case, a family member’s phone (touch screen) was not working. I was already prepared to replace the phone, but they were able to resolve the issue and phone was back functioning within 25 mins. I bought a couple of protective screens for my cousin’s and my phones just because. I highly recommend this business for any phone issues you have. Mine were minor but if they can’t fix it, surely they will get you pointed in the right direction.

I had an amazing experience with The fix walmart 8923 Military dr San Antonio location. I have a 15 pro Max i was at Sea world San Antonio , I accidentally dropped my phone to the swimming pool It got all wet , when I researched best repair shop , i saw the fix walmart location which one is so close to sea world San antonio tx.i drive 12 minutes yo walmart 8923 military dr to find the fix location their employees are so good my phone was all wet and they clean and fix all the parts has damage ..i research and compare with other companies and see price is better than other but the best thing is they are so professional fast thank you technician Zach you save my day all my information and my phone working perfect !!! 100% recommend
Victor Hernandez
Zach is the best! He replaced the back glass from my iPhone in-house and on the same day. Other places take two weeks because they want to send it to another place to use a laser to remove the broken glass. Zach took care of it within a few hours so I didn’t have to be without my phone. Highly recommend. I didn’t even have to leave my passcode or worry about my data. I verified if it was working when I picked it up. They also have a bunch of cases, I made sure to upgrade to something more sturdy so it wouldn’t happen again. I was going to put on my own tempered glass screen protector and he offered to put it on for free so I wouldn’t have bubbles on it.

I have a Pixel 7A that had a badly swollen battery. It was actually pushing the back cover of the phone off and had separated one of the seams. Zack was the tech that helped me out, he ordered a new battery and was able to replace the damaged one the next day in about 30 minutes. This was the smoothest time I've ever had getting help with damaged tech. Looking for phone repair inside Walmart in San Antonio, TX 78245?
The Fix is a dedicated repair store conveniently located inside the Walmart Supercenter at 8923 Military Dr W, San Antonio, TX 78245. We repair phones, tablets, computers and game consoles, and we stock the cases, screen protectors and chargers that go with them.
Many phone and tablet repairs are same-day, often taking less than 30 minutes. Drop the device off, pick up what you need while you are shopping, and collect it on the way out.
Why choose The Fix in Walmart on Military Dr W?
You know what is wrong before you spend anything. Every device starts with a free diagnosis, and the technician explains the fault in everyday language. Sometimes a phone that seems ready for replacement only needs a new battery. Sometimes a small crack hides a damaged panel underneath. Either way, you hear it first.
Our technicians work across Apple, Samsung, Google and Motorola devices. That range matters on the West Side, where one household can own a new iPhone 17, a hand-me-down iPhone 13 and a family laptop at the same time. One store handles all three, so there is one place to go for the whole household.
Which phone repairs can you get at The Fix on Military Dr W?
Screen replacement leads the list. A cracked screen or shattered glass on an iPhone 17, iPhone 15 or Galaxy S25 can be replaced, and so can a panel that still looks whole but shows lines, dead spots or unresponsive touch. Ghost touch, where the phone taps and types by itself, usually points to a damaged digitizer and is fixed with the same part.
Batteries come next. Watch for battery draining fast by lunchtime, a sudden shutdown at thirty percent, or a phone that runs hot on a short call. A swollen battery needs attention right away. If the case no longer closes flat or the screen sits raised at one edge, stop charging the phone and bring it in.
Charging port repair covers phones that charge only at an angle or not at all. Often the cause is debris in the port: lint packed in from a pocket over many months. Cleaning solves that. A bent or worn connector needs a new port.
Back glass is its own job. On a Galaxy A15 or a Google Pixel 9, a cracked back is more than cosmetic, because it lets moisture and dust reach the parts inside. We also repair cameras with a scratched or cracked camera lens, a muffled speaker or a microphone callers cannot hear, and phones with water damage. For water damage, speed counts. Turn the device off, leave it off, and bring it in as soon as you can.
When a phone will not power on, the fault can be a battery, a charging circuit or a loose connection after a drop, and the diagnosis tells us which one.
What other devices can The Fix on Military Dr W repair?
Tablets are a big part of the work. We replace cracked glass on an iPad Air and an iPad Pro, swap batteries on Samsung Galaxy Tab and Amazon Fire tablets, and repair charging ports on tablets that have been passed between siblings for years. Larger screens break in different ways from phone screens, so the part is matched to the exact model.
Computer repair covers Windows laptops, desktops and the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. A cracked laptop screen, a keyboard after a spill, a battery that no longer lasts a class period, slow storage that needs an upgrade and virus removal are all handled here.
Game consoles round it out. A PlayStation 5 with a failed HDMI port, an Xbox Series X with a disc drive that will not read, a Nintendo Switch with a cracked screen or Joy-Con drift: each is usually a single component, and replacing it brings the console back.
What parts and accessories does the store use and carry?
Replacement parts are high quality. Part quality decides how long a repair lasts. A screen that fits the frame properly stays seated, and a battery matched to the device holds its capacity.
For some phones, you can choose between screen types, and the technician explains how they differ in brightness and color before you decide.
The accessory wall carries cases, tempered glass and privacy screen protectors, chargers and cables. Cases range from slim to heavy duty, in sizes for current and older models.
How does a repair at The Fix work, stage by stage?
- Stage 1: Bring the device to the store and describe the problem, including when it started and anything that happened first, like a drop or a spill.
- Stage 2: A technician runs the diagnosis on the device.
- Stage 3: A technician provides the full repair price and waits for your approval before starting any work.
- Stage 4: The technician replaces the damaged part.
- Stage 5: The device is tested: touch, charging, cameras, speakers and signal.
- Stage 6: You collect the device and pay.
Where exactly is The Fix in San Antonio, TX 78245?
The Fix is inside the Walmart Supercenter at 8923 Military Dr W, San Antonio, TX 78245, on the city's Far West Side near the State Highway 151 interchange. Parking is shared with the Supercenter.
The Leon Creek Greenway trailhead on Military Dr W is about 0.4 miles east of the store, and Tom Slick Park sits roughly a mile to the southeast along the Highway 151 frontage road. Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland is about three and a half miles south, a short drive for people who live or work on base.
The store serves the neighborhoods of Lackland Terrace and Westwood Village, which sit to the south along Military Dr W.
How does San Antonio heat affect your phone?
Heat is the single biggest factor in how fast a lithium-ion battery ages. San Antonio summers run long, and a parked car on a West Side afternoon gets far hotter than a phone is built to handle. Each hot afternoon costs a little capacity, and the loss adds up.
Charging in the heat makes it worse. A phone on a car charger with navigation running is producing heat and absorbing it at the same time. Over two or three summers, that shows up as shorter battery life and, in some cases, a swollen battery.
Summer storms add a second risk. A sudden downpour in a parking lot is one of the quicker ways a phone ends up wet, and humidity afterwards can carry moisture deeper into the ports.
A few habits help. Keep the phone out of direct sun inside the car, let it cool before charging, and take off a thick case during long charging sessions in summer.
What should you expect when you visit The Fix on Military Dr W?
Expect a few questions at drop-off. The technician asks when the problem started and whether the phone was dropped or got wet, because those answers point the diagnosis in the right direction.
Expect help with the small things too. Staff will find a case in the right size for your model, including models that are hard to shop for, and apply the screen protector for you on the spot.
Expect related problems to be handled together. A phone with shattered back glass and a battery starting to swell can be a single visit, with both parts replaced in one sitting.
What do people ask about repairs at The Fix on Military Dr W?
How long does it take to repair a cracked iPhone 15 screen at The Fix in Walmart on Military Dr W?
An iPhone 15 screen replacement often takes less than 30 minutes when the part is in stock. Timing depends on the screen type you choose and on whether the drop also bent the frame or damaged the Face ID sensors, which the technician checks before starting.
How much does it cost to repair a cracked Galaxy S24 screen at The Fix near Tom Slick Park?
Galaxy S24 screen pricing depends mainly on the panel. The S24 uses a Dynamic AMOLED screen, and the choice of replacement part moves the price more than anything else. Frame damage from the fall can add to it. You get the exact figure after the diagnosis.
How much does it cost to repair an iPhone 14 back glass at The Fix on Military Dr W?
For an iPhone 14, back glass pricing turns on how far the damage goes. A cracked panel alone is one job. If the glass has lifted and the frame underneath is bent, the repair involves more parts and more time, and the price reflects that.
How much does it cost to repair a charging port at The Fix near the Leon Creek Greenway?
Charging port costs start with the cause. If lint or dirt is blocking the port, a cleaning may be all it needs, and that costs far less than a replacement. If the connector is loose or corroded, the port is replaced, and the phone model sets the price, since some ports are part of a larger flex cable.
How much does it cost to repair a swollen battery in a Google Pixel at The Fix on Military Dr W?
A Pixel battery is priced by model, plus anything the swelling damaged around it. A swollen battery can push against the screen or the back cover, and if either one cracked, that part is added. The technician checks both before quoting.
How much does it cost to repair an iPad screen at The Fix on Military Dr W?
iPad screen repair is priced by generation. On many models the glass and the LCD are separate, so only the glass is replaced. On others they are fused together and the whole assembly is swapped, which costs more. Knowing your model narrows it down fast.
How long does it take to repair water damage at The Fix on Military Dr W?
Water damage repair time depends on what the liquid reached. Some devices need cleaning of the affected area, others need one or more parts replaced, and the technician can only tell after opening the device.
How long does it take to repair a MacBook at The Fix on Military Dr W?
MacBook repair time is set by the fault and by part availability. A battery or keyboard job differs from a screen replacement, and some MacBook parts are ordered for the specific model. The technician gives you a timeline once the diagnosis is done.
How long does it take to repair a Galaxy S25 that will not power on at The Fix on Military Dr W?
A Galaxy S25 that will not power on takes as long as the cause requires. A drained or failed battery is a quick swap. A damaged charging circuit or liquid under the board takes longer to trace, so the technician tests the battery first as the simplest cause to rule out.
Can families from JBSA-Lackland walk in to The Fix on Military Dr W without an appointment?
Families from JBSA-Lackland, and anyone else nearby, can walk in without an appointment. If you plan to walk in with a less common model, a quick call first confirms the part is on hand.
Will my photos stay on my phone during a repair at The Fix on Military Dr W?
Screen, battery and charging port repairs do not usually involve the phone's storage, so photos typically stay where they are. A recent iCloud or Google backup is a sensible habit for any phone with a fault that could get worse.
Is it worth repairing an older phone at The Fix on Military Dr W?
Repairing an older phone is often worth it, but it depends on the device. A new battery or screen can give an iPhone 13 or a Galaxy A-series phone more years of use. If the repair would cost close to what the phone is worth, the technician tells you so, and you decide.
