The Fix is a dedicated repair store inside the Walmart Supercenter at 1725 New Hope Church Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. We are conveniently located inside Walmart, so your repair can run while you are shopping. Many phone and tablet repairs are same-day, often taking less than 30 minutes.
Phone repair is the core of the work here: screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras and speakers on iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel models. We also repair tablets, laptops, desktops and game consoles, and we keep cases, screen protectors and chargers in stock at the same address.
One store handles every device in the house. A phone with a cracked screen, a tablet that stopped charging and a console with a loose HDMI port can all come in on the same visit.
Older phones are welcome. An iPhone 8 with a worn battery is as much our work as a phone bought this year. Keeping a phone going for another year or two often comes down to one part, and replacing that part is exactly what we do.
Screen replacement covers everything from a single cracked screen corner to shattered glass across the whole front. We replace screens on current models like the iPhone 17 and Galaxy S25 as well as on an iPhone 13 or a Galaxy S22 that is a few years old. Broken glass is the obvious sign. Touch faults are the less obvious one: unresponsive touch in part of the screen, or ghost touch, where the phone registers taps you never made. Both usually point to a damaged screen assembly, even when the glass looks fine.
Back glass is its own repair. A cracked rear panel on an iPhone 15 or a Galaxy S25 can be replaced without touching a front screen that still works. Leaving cracked back glass alone is risky in the long run, since small shards can come loose and moisture finds its way in through the gaps.
Battery replacement is the fix for a phone with its battery draining fast, or one that suffers a sudden shutdown while the indicator still shows charge. A swollen battery needs attention right away. If the screen begins to separate or the back bulges, stop charging the phone and bring it in, because the swelling puts pressure on the screen and the frame.
Charging port repair is for a phone that only charges when the cable is held in place, or one that disconnects every time it moves. When the connector itself wears out, it has to be replaced.
Cameras and audio are part of the list too. A cracked camera lens on an iPhone 16 blurs every photo taken through it, and a muffled speaker on a Galaxy A15 turns calls and videos into guesswork. We replace the lens cover, the camera module or the speaker, depending on what the diagnosis finds.
Then there is the phone that will not power on at all, and water damage from a pool, a sink or a sudden downpour. With liquid, the sooner the phone is opened and dried inside, the more of it can be saved. Keep it switched off on the way in.
Tablets come in for screen, battery and charging repairs. We work on iPad models such as the iPad Air and iPad mini, along with Samsung Galaxy Tab and other Android tablets. A tablet screen is a bigger panel than a phone screen, so a small crack is not always a small job.
Computers cover MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, Windows laptops and desktops. Screen replacement, keyboard damage, battery service, storage and memory upgrades for machines that have slowed down, and virus and malware removal are all handled here.
Game consoles round out the list. We repair HDMI ports on the PlayStation 5, disc drive faults on the Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch screens and Joy-Con drift. For laptops and consoles, timing depends on the fault and on the part involved, and we tell you what to expect once the diagnosis is done.
Replacement parts are ordered by exact model number, so each screen, battery and port matches the device it goes into. A screen that sits even slightly off will crack again at the edges, and a battery built for a different variant will not hold its capacity for long. If a part for a less usual model has to be ordered, we tell you how long sourcing will take before you decide anything.
Accessories are the other half of the store. We stock cases for new releases such as the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL and the iPhone 18 family, plus older models that are harder to shop for. Screen protectors are fitted in store, applied clean so no dust or bubbles get trapped under the film. Chargers, USB-C and Lightning cables, and car chargers are on the shelf as well.
The steps run in the same order for every device.
The Fix is inside the Walmart Supercenter at 1725 New Hope Church Road, Raleigh, NC 27609, just off Capital Boulevard in north Raleigh. From the I-440 Beltline, take Exit 11 onto Capital Boulevard heading north, and New Hope Church Road is a short drive up the corridor.
For a sense of where that sits, North Hills is about two miles west and Triangle Town Center is roughly 2.7 miles to the northeast, so the store lands between the two shopping districts rather than inside either one. Millbrook Exchange Park is roughly 2.2 miles north, up toward the Millbrook and Spring Forest area. Closer in, three places sit within about a mile: Duke Raleigh Hospital to the southwest, the Wake Tech Beltline Education Center to the south and the Green Road Community Library to the east. The Brentwood neighborhood sits just to the southeast.
Heat is the main pressure on batteries here. Raleigh summers are long and humid, and a phone left on a car seat through a July afternoon runs hot enough to age its battery faster than normal use would. That wear shows up months later as a charge that no longer lasts the day.
Humidity is the slower threat. It works past seals that have loosened with age, which is why an older phone can develop water damage symptoms without a single spill to blame. Foggy camera glass or a speaker that crackles after a muggy week can be early signs.
Spring brings its own problem. The yellow pine pollen that coats cars across the Triangle also ends up in pockets and bags, and it packs into charging ports along with lint. Debris in the port builds up gradually, so a port that starts acting up in April is worth a look before anyone assumes it is broken.
Visits here are short and straightforward. Staff are friendly, explain the fault in everyday terms and answer questions without rushing you.
A few things make the visit smoother. Know your passcode, since the technician may need it to check touch, cameras and sound after the repair. If the problem comes and goes, note when it happens: only on the charger, only in the heat, only after a call. For a phone that will not charge, bring the cable you normally use so it can be ruled in or out.
If you are not sure what your device needs, that is a perfectly normal place to start.
The timing of an iPhone screen repair depends mostly on what else the drop damaged. A clean swap on a phone with a straight frame moves quickly. A bent frame, or damage near the front camera and Face ID sensors, adds steps, because those areas have to be checked before a new screen goes on.
Samsung screen pricing comes down to the model line and the kind of damage. The Galaxy S and Galaxy A series use different screen assemblies, so a Galaxy S24 and a Galaxy A15 are priced differently. Lines, dark patches or a green tint under the glass mean the panel itself failed, which is a bigger repair than cracked glass over a screen that still lights up.
An iPhone battery is priced by generation, since an iPhone 13 and an iPhone 16 take different cells. A battery that has already started to swell can take extra care to remove, and that is reflected in the quote. If the screen also needs work, both repairs can be done during the same visit.
Charging port time depends on whether the connector has to be replaced or only cleared out. Clearing it is quick. A replacement takes longer, because on many phones the screen has to come off first to reach the port.
Back glass pricing depends on the iPhone model and how the rear of the phone is built. On newer designs the back glass can be replaced on its own. On several older models the rear housing comes out as one piece, which changes the price. Cracks that reach the camera lens covers can add to it as well.
Water damage repair has no fixed timeline, because it depends on how far the liquid reached and which parts it affected. Some phones recover once corrosion is cleaned off the board. Others need a battery, port or screen replaced where the liquid reached. The diagnosis tells you which case you are in.
Laptop screen cost depends on how the machine is built. On many MacBook models the screen comes as a full top assembly, while a lot of Windows laptops take a separate panel. Touchscreen versions and higher-resolution panels add to the price, and so does a hinge or lid that was bent in the same fall.
iPad screen repair time depends on how that model is put together. On an older iPad the glass and the screen underneath are separate parts. On an iPad Air or iPad mini they are fused into one assembly, so the job and the time involved are different.
Pixel camera pricing turns on whether only the lens cover cracked or the camera underneath was hit too. On a Pixel 9 or Pixel 10, the glass on the camera bar can break while the camera itself still focuses, and replacing that cover is the smaller job. Spots, blur that will not clear, or a camera app that fails to open point to the module, which is the larger repair.
Tablet battery timing depends on the model and on whether the swelling has already damaged the screen. The battery sits under a large glued panel, so removing it safely takes more care than on a phone. On an iPad, the first sign is often a slight gap along one edge of the glass.
You can walk in without an appointment for phone repair, including screens, batteries and charging ports. For a less common model, a quick call ahead lets the team confirm the part is on hand.
A Samsung that will not power on can often be brought back, depending on what is behind it. A fully drained battery, a failed charging port, a stuck power button and a board fault can all look the same from the outside. The diagnosis separates them, so you know which part is at fault before deciding on a repair.
