Looking for phone repair inside Walmart in Odessa, TX 79763?

The Fix is a dedicated repair store conveniently located inside the Walmart Supercenter at 2450 NW Loop 338 State Rte W, Odessa, TX 79763, right where you already shop for groceries and household basics. We repair phones first and foremost, from iPhone and Samsung Galaxy to Google Pixel, and we also work on tablets, laptops and game consoles. Many phone and tablet repairs are same-day, often taking less than 30 minutes, so the work can run while you are shopping.

This page covers what we repair, how a visit goes, what parts we use and how to find us. The FAQ near the bottom covers time and cost for specific repairs, model by model.

Why choose The Fix for device repair in Odessa?

The Fix is a good choice because you can walk in without an appointment and hand the device straight to a trained technician. Explain what it is doing, and we take it from there.

Range is the second reason. One store handles phones, tablets, laptops and consoles, so a phone, a tablet and a game console from the same household can all be handled in one visit. Each device stays with our technicians in this store from the first look to pickup.

What phone repairs do we handle for iPhone, Galaxy and Pixel owners?

We handle screen, battery, charging, camera, speaker and water damage repairs on current and older phones. Here is how those jobs break down by model and symptom.

Screens come first. A cracked screen on an iPhone 17 can still show a picture under the damage, while shattered glass can cut fingers and let dust reach the panel. We replace the full screen assembly. Unresponsive touch and ghost touch belong in the same family. A Pixel 9 that ignores taps on part of the glass, or one that opens apps and types letters by itself, usually has a damaged digitizer, and a new screen is the usual fix.

Batteries are next. An iPhone 13 with a battery draining fast by lunch, or one that hits a sudden shutdown at thirty percent, has a cell that can no longer hold its charge under load. A new battery is the fix.

Charging port repair covers phones that charge only at a certain cable angle or not at all. A Galaxy S25 with a loose USB-C connection often needs the port itself replaced, and we check the cable and charging circuit at the same time.

The rest of the phone matters too. Back glass on an iPhone 17 Pro can crack from a short drop onto concrete, and replacing it keeps sharp edges away from your hand. A Galaxy S25 Ultra with a cracked camera lens takes blurry or hazy photos, and a new lens cover brings back clear shots. An iPhone 15 with a muffled speaker during calls may have a blocked grille or a failing speaker, and we test both before we suggest a fix.

Water damage needs fast action. Turn the phone off, skip the charger, and bring it in. We open the phone, check the board for corrosion and clean what can be saved. A phone that will not power on after a drop or a spill gets the same careful diagnosis, because the cause can be the battery, the screen or the board.

Can we repair tablets, laptops and game consoles too?

Yes, we repair tablets, laptops and game consoles alongside phones. The work varies by device, so here is what each one involves.

Tablets take screen and battery work. An iPad Pro with a charging port that has gone loose, or a base iPad (10th generation) that no longer lasts through a school day, are both jobs we handle. Samsung Galaxy Tab models get the same screen and battery service.

Laptops and computers cover a wider list. A MacBook Air with a cracked screen, a Windows laptop with sticky or dead keys, or a computer that crawls through simple tasks are all on the menu. We replace laptop screens and keyboards, remove viruses and malware, run system tune-ups, and install RAM and SSD upgrades that make an older machine feel quick again.

Game consoles round it out. A PS5 with a disc drive that will not read games, an Xbox Series X that has lost its HDMI signal, and a Nintendo Switch that will not charge in its dock are the kinds of console repairs we take on. Timing for laptops and consoles depends on the fault, and we tell you what we find after the diagnosis.

What parts and accessories can you get at The Fix in Odessa?

We use high-quality replacement parts and carry the accessories that protect a phone once it is fixed. Parts come in grades for many models, and the technician explains the differences in picture quality, brightness and price so the choice is yours.

On the accessory shelf you will find phone cases, screen protectors and chargers. A tough case and a tempered glass protector are the simplest way to keep a fresh screen looking new. Charging cables and wall adapters are on hand too, which helps when a frayed cable was part of the charging problem in the first place.

How does a repair work at The Fix inside Walmart?

A repair at The Fix follows four stages, from the first look at the device to the moment you take it home.

• Stage 1: Diagnosis. A technician examines the device and finds the fault. The diagnosis is free.
• Stage 2: Quote. You get the price before any work starts. You decide whether to go ahead or take the device home.
• Stage 3: Repair. The technician replaces the damaged part.
• Stage 4: Pickup. We go over what was replaced, you check the device in hand, and you are on your way.

Where exactly is The Fix in Odessa, TX 79763?

The Fix is inside the Walmart Supercenter at 2450 NW Loop 338 State Rte W, Odessa, TX 79763, on the west edge of the city. The store sits on Loop 338 near its interchange with W University Blvd.

West Odessa lies just past the loop to the west. Heading east, Western Manor Park is less than a mile away, and the West County Plaza shopping center on N County Rd W is about a mile out. Odessa College and Odessa High School both sit a little under two miles to the east, and the UTPB campus is roughly five and a half miles across town on E University Blvd.

How do Odessa's heat and dust affect your phone?

Odessa's heat and blowing dust are hard on phones, mainly on ports and batteries. Two patterns show up in this part of the Permian Basin.

Dust is the first. West Texas wind carries fine sand and caliche dust, and it settles into pockets, work bags and truck consoles. Over time that grit becomes debris in the port, and the cable stops seating fully. Cleaning the port often brings charging back without replacing anything, and we check that before quoting a part.

Heat is the second. A phone left in a parked truck during a Permian Basin summer can climb far past the temperature its battery is built for. Repeated heat ages the cell faster and can lead to a swollen battery that pushes the screen or back glass outward. If you see that bulge, stop charging the phone and bring it in, since a swollen cell should be replaced, not used.

What can you expect when you bring a device to us?

You can expect a clear, friendly conversation with the technician who handles your repair. We listen to what the device is doing, look at it with you, and explain the fault in terms that make sense.

Questions are welcome at any point. We take the time to talk through things like whether an older phone is worth a new battery or ready for an upgrade, and whether a tablet with a cracked corner can wait or needs attention now.
